Bring your Cosplay to Life with
Precision 3D Printing

From intricate armour pieces to detailed props, we help you create screen-accurate costumes that out at conventions.

Why Choose 3D Printing for Cosplay?

Durability & Lightweight Designs:

Our prints are made with strong but lightweight materials, so your props and armour won't unnecessarily weigh you down at conventions. This allows you to comfortably wear them every day, and they will be resilient against knocks and bumps.

Ability to Print Large Pieces in Sections and Assemble Seamlessly:

Even oversized helmets, shields, or full-body armour can be created by printing in modular sections. Our precision joins mean they fit together perfectly, making transport easier without compromising strength or appearance.

Adapt Designs to Fit Your Body Perfectly:

There is absolutely no one-size-fits-all approach here, at Tidewater 3D. We can scale and adjust digital models to match your exact measurements. Whether it's reshaping armour to fit your frame or altering a prop handle for comfort, your cosplay will look (and feel) made for you.

Our Process

Step One.

Share your design or concept with us. This could be simply telling us a brief idea you have, or sending us the STL files for something specific.

Step Two.

We will optimise your idea for print, and choose the best material for your project.

Step Three.

We will print, sand and assemble your piece (unless you'd prefer to assemble it yourself of course)

Step Four.

We will arrange delivery or collection, ready for you to finish off your piece to suit your tastes and needs with paint and other decorations.

Pricing & Turnaround

We get asked a lot about how much it will cost, and how long it will take, to create a cosplay mask, prop or costume piece, however, there are so many factors that need to be taken into account:

  1. Design: Whether you are supplying an existing STL file, or if we need to design the piece for you.
  2. Material: Whether the piece/s will be made from Resin or FDM will have an impact on the price
  3. Size: Due to their size, many cosplay props etc will need to be printed in various pieces, that are then glued or snapped together. The number of pieces that are needed will also effect both the price and turnaround.

Can you print oversized props?

Absolutely! We can print props of all shapes and sizes. We will probably have to print the prop in various pieces, but seams can be easily hidden in the finishing process.

This is entirely up to you. Some of our customers prefer their prints to arrive as is, so that they can achieve the finish that they want using their own choices, whilst others prefer them to be ready for painting.

The great thing about 3D printing is that we can easily build your model in as many pieces as needed, and we can design them to slot together in a way that makes packing the prop as easy as putting it back together.

Absolutely. We have CAD design skills, so we are more than happy to work with you and design exactly what you are looking for.
