As a small business in a rapidly evolving technological industry, staying ahead means constantly adapting and innovating to offer our customers the best and highest-quality service possible. A year ago, we took a significant step by purchasing the Elegoo Saturn Resin 3D Printer, which enabled us to expand our range of resin-based products for tabletop gaming, cosplay accessories, and more. In 2024, we decided to further enhance our capabilities by investing in the Bambu Lab P1S.

Increased Output
Delivering 3D printed items to our customers as quickly as possible has always been a priority for us. However, our speed is limited by the capabilities of our 3D printers. Upgrading to a printer that can increase our throughput rate, allowing us to produce more items at once, is a significant advantage.
In just the first full day of using the Bambu Lab P1S, we’ve more than doubled our output rate. This not only benefits our commission-based clients by allowing us to complete their orders faster, but also enables us to manufacture products for sale both online and at The Original Emporium in Cleethorpes more efficiently, speeding up our restocks.
Increased Quality
To the right are two images of Pikachu’s that we 3D Printed. On the left, we used the Elegy Neptune 3 and on the right, we used the Bambu Labs P1S.
Note that neither of them have been “finished”, meaning that no heat, trimming or any other methods of tidying up, that we always do after taking them off the printer.
You can instantly recognise the very different quality, that means less post-treatments are necessary before the product is complete.
Ultimately, the less time we need to spend cleaning up prints so they look at neat and tidy as possible, the quicker we can get prints to customers.
Material Choices
Up to now, the range of materials we have been limited to for our FDM 3D Printing has been PLA and PETG, however this new printer has widened what we are able to offer, to include:
- TPU
- ABS
- ASA
- Nylon
- Carbon and Glass Fibre Reinforced Materials
