How To Place an Order with Tidewater 3D

At Tidewater 3D Printing in Grimsby, we’ve streamlined the process for placing orders to make it as simple as possible for you. Whether you want to replicate an existing object or create something entirely new, here’s how to get started.

In Person

If you live locally to Grimsby, and have a physical object that you’d like us to replicate, feel free to visit our Grimsby location:

Unit 23 Grimsby Business Centre

King Edward Street

Grimsby

DN31 3JH.

We welcome walk-ins between the following hours:

Monday: 10am – 4pm

Tuesday: 11am – 4pm

Wednesday: 10am – 4pm

Thursday: 10am – 4pm

Friday: 10am – 12pm

Outside of these times are by appointment only, as our Reception will be closed.

Chris will take a look at the item, take any necessary measurement, discuss any specific requirement, and ensure that we understand your vision.

He’ll create a 3D model that dits the needs of the object, and work out how much the project will cost. We will never start any project without letting you know costs first.

Depending on the size of the project, we may ask for payment upfront to cover initial costs. Otherwise payment can be made upon collection (we accept bank transfer, cash or card payments).

We will then print your item, and let you know when it is ready.

Online Orders

If you would like a quote and don’t live locally, or want to send us some STL files, we have recently changed how we deal with Quote Requests.

We ask all customers to complete a Request a Quote form. This just ensures that we gain as much information as possible about what you are looking for, so that we don’t have to enter a large conversation to get information. So, it simply speeds up the process all round.

How Much Will 3D Printing Cost?

This isn’t something that we can say in a blog post, because there are multiple factors that we need to take into consideration when we cost projects:

  1. Whether we need to do any design work
  2. How big the item is
  3. What material it will be printed in (FDM, Resin etc)
  4. How long the printing will take

What are the Turnaround Times?

Turn around times can vastly vary depending on a range of factors, including:

  1. Our current workloads
  2. The size of the object
  3. The number of items required

If you are working to specific deadlines, we will try our best to meet them, however this may incur additional charges.
